🧮
Conveyor belt weight calculator
Enter the belt’s width, covers and plies. Get weight per m², per running metre and for the whole roll - layer by layer, with the formula shown.
🧮
Rubber sheet weight calculator
Length, width, thickness and material. Get the sheet weight, weight per m², and the length a roll of known weight holds.
🧮
Rubber compound cost per kg calculator (phr)
Type your recipe in phr with each ingredient’s price. Get the cost per kg, with mixing loss, and the cost of a batch.
🧮
Assembly cost calculator (BOM cost per piece)
List the parts your product is built from with how many of each go into one. Get the cost to build one piece, with consumables, spoilage and the labour of joining shown separately.
How to calculate conveyor belt weight (per m² and per metre)
Belt weight per m² = the sum of each layer’s thickness in mm × its density in g/cm³, which gives kg/m² directly. Multiply by the belt width in metres for kg per running metre, and by the length for the roll weight.
Rubber sheet weight calculation: formula and density table
Rubber sheet weight in kg = length (m) × width (m) × thickness (mm) × density (g/cm³). A 10 m × 1.2 m × 5 mm sheet at 1.5 g/cm³ weighs 90 kg.
How to calculate rubber compound cost per kg from a phr recipe
Compound cost per kg = Σ(phr × price per kg) ÷ Σ(phr), then divide by (1 − mixing loss). A 164.5 phr recipe costing ₹25,820 comes to ₹156.96/kg, or ₹159.35/kg after a 1.5% mixing loss.
How to price a manufactured product: cost-plus, floor price and rate lists
Price from real cost: material (with its wastage) + machine and labour time + overheads gives the cost. A floor price covers that cost and is never undercut, and trade and premium prices sit above it. A flat rate list breaks because setup cost does not scale with order size.
What is a job card in manufacturing? Contents and a sample
A job card is the written instruction for making one order on the shop floor: what to make, how much, which materials to weigh out, which machines in which order, and the space to record actual quantities, time, wastage and quality results.
GSTR-2B reconciliation: how to match purchase bills and protect your ITC
Download GSTR-2B from the GST portal, match each supplier invoice to your purchase register by GSTIN, invoice number and tax amount, then chase the gaps before filing GSTR-3B - input tax credit can only be claimed on invoices that appear in GSTR-2B.
How to calculate manufacturing wastage (and set a fair standard)
Wastage % = (material issued − material in good output) ÷ material issued × 100. Judge each job against a standard taken from your own clean past jobs: above it is over, below it is saved, near it is within.
How to calculate the cost of an assembled product (BOM costing)
Cost per piece = the sum of each part’s quantity × that part’s own rate, plus the consumables the kit swallows, plus assembly time × your factory hour rate. Bought parts enter at their purchase price and parts you make enter at their own computed cost.
How to choose an ERP for a small manufacturer in India: a checklist
Choose the ERP that already understands your product: it should cost your product from its size or recipe, run job cards and wastage on the floor, handle GST and e-way bills, work in your staff’s language, and go live in days - not a blank template you configure for a year.
